30 May Founder and President of EHICA in Loule, Portugal, as one of the keynote speakers on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Historic Café Calcinha (5.6.2019)

The Founder and President of the European Historic Cafes Association, Vassilis Stathakis, is going to be in Portugal, (3-7 June 2019), representing EHICA.
Mr. Stathakis is one of the official guests of the Municipality of Loulé, and one of the keynote speakers on the anniversary event to be held for the Historic Cafe Calcinha on June 5, 2019.
Εarlier that day, the Founder and President of EHICA is going to formally visit the Mayor of Loule, at the Municipality of the city.
The following days, Mr. Stathakis will have the opportunity to visit and talk with owners of Historic Cafes in Lisbon.
It is worth mentioning that the Historic Café Calcinha is a replica of an old Brazilian coffee shop, opened in 1927 and virtually unchanged since, with a gorgeous art deco interior and marble-topped tables. Live fado occasionally takes place at the Cafe. The statue outside depicts António Aleixo, an early-20th-century poet and a former regular of the cafe, sitting at his own bronze table.
